Dear RCVF&R Board of Directors, Volunteer Fire Fighters and residents, please accept this letter as formal notification that I am resigning as Chief Officer of Red Creek Volunteer Fire and Rescue due to personal reasons. My last day as Acting Chief will be April 1, 2024.
We have made many inroads on the Pueblo Annual Operations plan, RETAC Committee; The Pueblo County and surrounding Regional Fire Chief's Council.
I have been honored to work within the fire service community acquiring for Red Creek Fire the “Dual Type I/IV Engine, as well as the F-550 brush truck from the county, The SCBA from Pueblo City Fire and bunker gear from Boone Fire Departments. A huge thanks to all the boots on the ground, volunteer fire fighters for their dedication to our EMS/Fire Trainings.
One small disappointment that may have ended up being a wonderful blessing is not having completion of the fire house addition, but rather a new idea of a tactical operations command center, which will also serve as a great meeting area with amenities.
Thank you again to the entire TEAM for the valuable experience and support provided during my time at Red Creek Fire as Red 18 Volunteer fire fighter, Director of Medical Response, Red 13 Volunteer Fire Fighter, Red 7, as Assistant Chief and finally Red 901, Chief Officer.
Chief Youngren
